'Prince' music to be released on Valentine's Day

The music of Vivek Oberoi-starrer "Prince" is set to release on Valentine's Day Sunday and the producers of the film have planned a big surprise to mark the event.

"Innovation has always been a key for Tips Industries and with this film too we hope to change some rules of the game," says producer Kumar Taurani.

The music launch will be attended by Vivek in Oberoi Mall, Mumbai, and is open to public.

Trisha: Shriya is a big prankster

Photography is Shriya’s hobby. She will always be carrying a digi camera in her hand. She will click all our pranks and the next day she will mail it to me with the caption sweet memories. There is no chance for jealously or competition among us”.

Bipasha Basu sued for 5 crore

There were reports of Bipasha being harassed by the hotel management in Delhi, an allegation that the hotel’s chairman, Ashok Mittal, promptly denied. And now, the miffed hotelier has sent legal notices to Bipasha Basu, Shemaroo Entertainment and also the PR Company handling the event in Delhi, Add-on Entertainment

According to the notice, when Bipasha and Shemaroo’s representatives demanded an extra Rs 30 lakh at the last minute to have Bipasha make an appearance at the party, was when the deal began to fall apart, “as the Company had by this time already spent as much as about Rs 45 lakh towards the various arrangements,” says the document. The notice also accuses the other party of “attempted extortion threat”. Mittal has asked for damages “to the tune of Rs 5 crores” as “damages towards the loss of reputation, goodwill and standing”.

Valentineday Day is an expensive affair

There was a time when teenagers could woo their loved ones with a few flowers and heartfelt notes, but this is now passé. Today, Valentine’s Day is celebrated among teenagers with greater zest and obviously, bigger budgets in mind. I am trying hard to organize a different, yet memorable Valentine’s Day to celebrate with my girlfriend. I have to fit in chocolates, flowers, dresses and create a collage of photographs of our special moments spent together with a budget of over Rs 3,000. This collage will be made into a calendar and will be especially made-to-order.”

Garima Khandelwal,18, a student of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi says, “I wanted it to be a cosy affair to hit an emotional chord. Since I came back for vacations, my boyfriend who stays in Delhi will fly halfway through the country to come down to Hyderabad and meet me. Our Valentine’s will be very exciting and I cannot wait to see how he’ll make it special.”

While some teenagers are planning a cozy, extravagant affair, others are looking forward to going clubbing.Sanjana Mathur, 16 says, “It is my first Valentine’s and I’ve heard some of my friends hear that my BF is making elaborate plans.”Says Anirudh P., an 18-year-old from Bengaluru, “I love to go clubbing, but most clubs are expensive with couple entries pegged at about Rs 7,000, especially on Valentine’s Day. My girlfriend likes partying and what better place to go partying than to a disco. The great thing about clubbing is that the food and music suit the occasion. It’s important for her to feel comfy and loved.

Rs.60,000 for a MNIK ticket!

My Name is Khan’ tickets were sold out in five seconds at the Berlin International Film Festival. Fans had not slept all night to keep their places in the queue despite the sub-zero temperature in Berlin.

Those who arrived at 6 a.m. were in tears. The online tickets for the superstar’s own people who phoned the Berlinale authorities five minutes after ticketing opened were told they were way too late. The film’s tickets were auctioned on e-Bay for 1,000 euros (about Rs.60,000) each.

Jenny Watkinson, assigned the ’Shah Rukh Khan department’ in the International Relations office of Dieter Kosslick, Berlin film festival director, told us: "I’ve never seen anything like it. This year it’s expected to be even bigger than in 2008 (during ’Om Shanti Om’). The online tickets for ’My Name is Khan’ were sold out in five seconds."

The film premieres in Berlin on Friday with a red carpet at the prestigious Berlinale Palast theatre on Potsdamer Platz.

The film’s screening has police protection in Berlin. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and director Karan Johar are in Berlin for the premiere of the film.

India has much reason to celebrate at the Berlin International Film Festival as the country has a historic nine feature films in the Berlinale. This is the 60th anniversary of the Berlin Film Festival, that opened Thursday and runs from Feb 11-21.

Bhavana debut in Kannada movies

Malayalam girl Bhavana, who acted in Telugu films like ‘Ontari, ‘Hero’, and ‘Mahatma’ is making a debut in Kannada. In Kannada she would pair up with Puneet Rajkumar (son of legendary Rajkumar) in an upcoming movie titled Jackie under the direction of Soori. What is all about? The film Kedi is all about the regular elements of friendship, love and action. The film is all about a card game on which the lives of many depend! The climax of the film deals with how Kedi (Nagarjuna) emerges the winner in the game. The Plot: Ramesh (Nagarjuna) is an orphan in Guntur and he faces many problems in his childhood and story begins with the childhood friends Ramesh and Janaki. Ramesh develops love with Janaki from childhood itself. Nagarjuna plays the role of ‘Ramesh’ who is fondly called as ‘Rummy’.Janaki tells Rummy that he should get name and fame in society and must also earn good money then she would be ready to marry him.Rummy agrees to that and then he gets into gambling, in no time, he becomes a very wealthy person but then he nails only those people who became rich by wrong route and wins them in the gambling.His movements are closely watched by the ACP Sekhar(Sayaji Shinde) but despite several attempts, he fails to catch Rummy. Meanwhile, Chandra (Ankur) who runs a pub gets close to Rummy and manages to have a smuggling deal with him. In the meanwhile, in Goa, Rummy wins the heart of Nadia(Linda) as he saves her sister Sara (Paula) from a cruel man called Victor. Linda proposes to Rummy but he negates it. However, Rummy turns her proposal down and he is helped in his ventures by Sandhya(Mamatha).Who is Sandhya and what happened to Janaki? Is Rummy successful in his goal? All this forms the rest of the story and the suspense revealed in the climax. The Actors: Nagarjuna is looking much younger and fresh than before and he has done justice to his job. Mamatha Mohandas was gorgeous but she might be a disappointment for the glamour lovers since her role doesn't have any oomph factor. Sayaji Shinde was as usual, Harshavardhan was hilarious, Brahmanandam was superb but he could have been better, Ankur is outstanding, the others didn't have much to offer. Cinematography is good. Background score was weak. You will notice director Kiran's lack of experience. Bottom line: Movie First half and second half go in similar tone with entertainment. The film is ideally an entertainer and so the plot runs on a very thin line, but over all Kedi is an Entertainer with a perfect screen play and it fares well with charisma of Nagarjuna in it. You can watch this film without any hesitation. This film is more of a time pass movie but not an exciting movie.

Aishwarya down with high fever, advised bed rest

Doting parents-in-law Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan are looking after Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai who is down with high fever and has been advised bed rest by doctors.

"Aishwarya has come back from the shoot in pain and distress. Doctors called, investigation done and medication registered to settle issues down, but it persists," Amitabh Bachchan, posted on his blog bigb.bigadda.com.

Explaining the condition of his daughter-in-law, the Big B wrote: "There is high fever and an infection in the throat, cannot talk, cannot swallow. Sad and so concerned to see her in such a condition. Abhishek has been summoned from his shoot as Jaya and I attend to her."

Aiswarya was shooting for Vipul Shah's "Action Replay" in Manori in northern Mumbai and returned home with high fever.

Abhishek attended to his wife, but had to rush for his shooting schedule.

"The morning was spent with a rather unwell wife. But, work calls so off (to) the shoot for 'Crooked'," Abhishek wrote on his Twitter.
